And now that I've read the second page:

Christ, I thought you damn pedos couldn't act like bigger jackasses, but then you try and say that it isn't the pedophile's fault?

First of all, everyone has urges, some worse than others, but most people can control these urges. The guys who take the time to co-erce what they think are small children, then take the time to drive to their house for sex are acting on these urges, and are a menace to society.

I saw one episode where this one guy ended up getting caught more than once.

As for the whole "crime was not yet committed", let's say a guy has a bomb strapped to him in a crowded room. He says he's going to explode the bomb but you have a gun in your hand. Basically, you're saying that you would not shoot the guy with the bomb until he blows up the bomb, killing himself, you and many innocent bystanders. It's called being pro-active instead of reactive, meaning you can stop the criminal before he has a chance to ruin innocent lives.

How can someone possible be against that? Look at that one Tom Cruise movie where they had the system to pre-empt crimes. Their world was a utopia (until eventually the creator of the system abused flaws only he himself knew, but that's beside the point). Now everyone's going to call me an asshat, and tell me to read 1984.

I only read the first page, but let me just say I didn't think it was possible for me to respect ExTha any less than I already did. But he proved that wrong by supporting the acts of pedophiles.

Sure, he has somewhat of a point about the girls throwing it out there, but that argument is only really applicable to the 16-18 jailbait that are for intents and purposes, matured.

This show uses 12-13 year old bait. These kids have no idea what sex really is, the kinds of people lurking out there, or the ramifications of acting older than they really are.

To Catch A Predator is a great show, because hopefully it sends the message to the dirty lowlives out there that it is entirely possible that the "young girl" you're trying to co-erce is really a cop trying to ensnare you. And if you're stupid enough to even try it, I say you deserve to have your face and name plastered on national TV.
